Roundtable organized by the International Chair led by Agustina Sario during the first semester of 2026.

On Thursday, May 28, the Dance Program of the School of Performing Arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) hosted the International Research-Creation Roundtable, “Athena: A Creative Journey – Between Creation and Collaboration.” The event provided a space for dialogue and exchange on the relationships between artistic creation, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The roundtable was held in a hybrid format, with in-person participation at the PUCP campus and live streaming via Danza PUCP’s Facebook Live, enabling students, faculty members, artists, and researchers from different locations to participate.

The event featured internationally recognized speakers: Marifé Santiago-Bolaños, Analía Segal, Andrea Saltzman, Esther Bendahan Cohen, and Agustina Sario, together with the PUCP Research-Creation Group in Dance Studies and Performing Arts Practice.

Throughout the session, participants shared experiences, reflections, and perspectives on research-creation processes in dance and the performing arts, exploring creation as a collective practice shaped by critical thinking, embodiment, memory, and collaboration.

This event reaffirmed the Dance Program’s commitment to fostering academic and artistic exchange, strengthening the dialogue between performance practice, research, and the wider community.
